ABSTRACT
Dravet syndrome (DS) is a rare genetic disorder with onset at 1 year of age, one of the most severe forms of epilepsy, which is characterized by a high frequency and severity of seizures, impaired psychoneurological development, disability and high mortality. Timely diagnosis and treatment can significantly alleviate the course of DS and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Currently, there is an urgent need to increase awareness of pediatric neurologists and primary care physicians about the diagnostic criteria for the timely detection of patients with DS, referral to an epileptologist to confirm the diagnosis and prescribe the necessary therapy. The provisions of the Expert Council’s resolution, which took place on March 14, 2025, are presented.
